Paul undertakes a wide range of Chancery and commercial litigation in a variety of fields including general commercial litigation, commercial fraud and recovery, director and fiduciary duties, arbitration, sports law, company shareholder disputes, joint ventures, share warranties, insolvency, commercial property and landlord and tenant, banking, partnership, director disqualification, commercial agents and financial services. He is instructed from BVI and the Bahamas.

Paul is regularly listed in Chambers & Partners and the Legal 500. Chambers & Partners 2009 says “the judges love him for being succinct and to the point” and described him as “a fighter who enjoys a good reputation at the commercial and chancery bar” and a “tough fighter whom you certainly want in your corner in a difficult dispute, as well as “forceful and diligent”.

- Customs & Excise v Anglo–Overseas: claim by customs for duties in respect of sales of alcohol across Europe
- Re Uno plc and World of Leather: director disqualification
- Enron v Universal: £50 million commercial agency claim
- Office Fair Trading v Miller: acting on behalf of OFT in respect of EU directives relating to activities of commercial traders and contempt
- Hollywood: substantial business dispute as to termination of contract and letters of intent
