Alternative Dispute Resolution

3 Stone Buildings has a long-standing and pre-eminent reputation in all areas of alternative dispute resolution.

Members of Chambers have been engaged in some of the most substantial arbitrations in recent years and many are regularly engaged in mediations both as advocates and mediators.

Chambers undertakes ad-hoc and institutional arbitrations and mediations, as well as all forms of arbitration/mediation procedure, expert evaluations and adjudications in all areas of our expertise. Our involvement includes domestic (English), European and international procedures, with a substantially increasing practice in Anglo-American proceedings conducted in the US, the UK, and elsewhere around the world.

Members of Chambers also act as experts on English law in alternative dispute procedures conducted by foreign lawyers and governed by English law.

New York Office

Teresa Rosen Peacocke is dual qualified as a barrister and US attorney and undertakes alternative dispute engagements conducted under US as well as UK law. Jonathan Redwood is also qualified in New York and undertakes alternative dispute resolution work. This has become a particular strength of Chambers, derived from our development of Chambers’ New York office.

The New York office can be used for hearings of arbitrations, mediations and other forms of alternative dispute resolution and has conference and ancillary facilities capable of accommodating substantial proceedings.
